• When searching your state's statutes and regulations for vaccine exemption laws, remember that exemptions are sometimes referred to as an 'exception' or 'waiver,' so try those terms if 'exemption' doesn't get the desired result. 
• If you don't find what you want with any of these terms, try searching with the word 'immunization' or 'vaccination'. 
• Most exemptions laws are combined with or follow laws stating exemption requirements.
• Many states' vaccination and exemption laws are part of the education code, as vaccines are required for school enrollment.
• In some states, exemption letters or forms may take the place of a certificate of immunization that is required for school enrollment.
